You thought you had seen everything about intrusive ads and you were hoping from the bottom of my heart that the trend is not growing anymore, but it was not counting on a Japanese company who just unveiled a totally wacky idea in which she seems to see the future of advertising.
Forget the big posters or the digital signs, the companyWakino Ad Company simply wants to transform your armpits in advertising media ! This operation comes alive in the metro where models will be paid to stick an advertisement under their armpits: this operation targets young women whose "Armpit-advertising" will be paid by the advertiser. Obviously, this idea looks rather seasonal since most of the year users tend to cover themselves to stay warm.
This is not a joke but a real advertising medium. Obviously, if for Westerners this practice seems totally inconceivable, Japanese culture has a rather fascinating trend in WTF (unusual pushed to the extreme). And as proof, in 2013, the societyAbsolute Territory PR was already offering advertisers to advertise ... at the back of young women's legs (volunteers of course) in the subway. Well ... we are almost delighted to have our big posters 4 × 3 in the Paris metro! 😆
